Job Vacancies and Training
All job vacancies at Firstmaster are advertised on this site and are open to applicants on the basis stated in our Equal Opportunities Policy.
Guards receive two types of training:
- 1. Generic training
- 2. Individual assignment training
Generic Training
All our guards are SIA licensed and must therefore have undergone, as a minimum, a four-day training course appropriate top their sector (Security Guarding, Door Supervision etc).
All our staff are trained by CPL training
In addition, as part of our programme of continuous professional development (CPD) we provide training for selected guards in:
- First Aid
- Fire safety
- Fire marshalling
- Health and safety
- Conflict management
- Handcuffing techniques and practise
- Drugs awareness
This commitment to CPD enables us to select guards for assignments on a ‘best fit’ basis.
Individual Assignment Training
Every assignment is different. We make sure that our guards receive comprehensive assignment instructions and are thoroughly prepared for all the tasks they are expected to undertake.
